Muslim Love

This painting is inspired by a photograph taken at a friend's wedding.  It was a simple silhouette of the bride and her groom gently gracing her hand with a kiss.  It was such a sweet and romantic image. I thought about how the words "Muslim" and "romance" aren't usually put together in the mainstream American media.  So this loving image me inspired me to focus on the compassion, love and beauty that emanates from a newly married Muslim couple.
